Youth

Big things happen when our youth get together!  Our groups foster friendships and nurture bonds while keeping kids engaged and active in the Christian community.  Our youth groups are meant to grow with your child to strengthen them as they learn to walk with Christ all while having an awesome time!


ROUTE 45 GROUP

Route 45 is a group that gives 4th and 5th graders the opportunity to grow in faith, have fun, and make friends. Contact us if you'd like to be added to our contact list.

MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY

Middle school youth meet semi-monthly typically for fun, faith-filled community building. Occasionally we participate in congregational events such as the Harvest Festival, Coffee House, and Quizzo Nights, as well as retreat several times during the year.

SUNDAYS 6-7:30 PM
(1st and 3rd Sundays of the month)

EIGHTH GRADE CONFIRMATION

All 8th graders are invited to participate in our year-long Confirmation program. It's a wonderful opportunity to grow in faith, have fun, and make great friends, as well as engage in serving others, presenting a passion play, and helping lead worship on Sunday mornings.

CHRISTIANS IN SERVICE (CIS)

Christians in Service (CIS) is a week-long summer program where youth put their faith in action through serving their community in a variety of ways! All youth who completed 5th-8th grade can register for this exciting and fulfilling program! The youth are led by high school trained in Christian leadership.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY

High School youth meet semi-monthly for fun, faith-filled community building. We help lead congregational events such as the Harvest Festival, Coffee House, and Quizzo Nights, as well as retreat several times during the year.

APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT (ASP)

Appalachia Service Project (ASP) is a week-long construction based mission trip in the summer, open to youth who have completed 9th grade and older. The week inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair in Central Appalachia.


NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING

Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives. All youth who have completed 8th grade through 12th grade by the summer of the Gathering are able to attend!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School classes are offered for children from 3 years to 12th grade. We gather around the word to learn Bible stories, explore faith talk, and to hear about Jesus' love for the world.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS)

At Vacation Bible School, children discover so much about God's love for them. This summer week-long program is filled with incredible Bible learning experiences where children will see, hear, touch, and even taste! Science fun, team-building games, exciting Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the engaging activities that help faith flow into real life. Middle and High School youth serve as volunteers during this week.

LIBRARY

The Almquist Library is a wonderful resource for youth and their families. Not only are there a large variety of books, games, and DVDs available for borrow, the space is also a relaxing, quiet environment perfect for studying or quiet conversation with a friend.
