At Calvary, reaching out to those in need isn’t just something we do – it’s an important part of who we are. As a community, we are deeply committed to work for God’s kingdom in the West Chester area and the wider world beyond. We seek to build bridges between people and communities and we strive to make a difference – to give back some of what we have received from God to those who most need it.
Giving is an important expression of our Christian faith – but also one of the most tangible and personal ways to feel and share God’s love. The wonderful part about giving of ourselves – whether it’s our talents, time, or resources – is that as givers we are blessed as much or more than those who receive the gifts. That’s what I’ve seen and experienced time and again as a pastor and throughout my 12 years here at Calvary.
Here, you’ll find a rich variety of outreach opportunities and ministries to take part in. We also participate in a number of interfaith and ecumenical partnerships in our area and beyond – so there are many ways for you to plug in and reach out. When members come back and share the stories of their outreach experiences, our entire congregation is enriched and inspired.
